Session 0010 – Conor Hammersley on Exploring Identities, Masculinities, and Health Among Male Farmers in Ireland

Listen as Conor speaks to us about his co-authored paper, he comprehensively speaks on and informs us on many aspects of the findings of his published paper: for example- the need for farmers to contest more restrictive farming masculinities and notions of “the good farmer” and to address their resistant behaviour to prioritising their own health need.

To normalise health topics and conversations. To stop and have a conversation, to have empathy and listen. When anyone reaches out and starts a conversation they are demonstrating strength, resilience, and determination and definitely not weakness. All of this and more on today’s Podcast edition.
